Founded in 1972, Wisconsin Student Government (WSG) is a statewide, student-led 501(c)(6) organization representing all 16 colleges in the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).
WSG unites student voices across Wisconsin to strengthen technical education through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration. Throughout the year, student representatives from every technical college gather to share ideas, identify statewide priorities, and collaborate on meaningful advocacy initiatives.
The year culminates in the Legislative Seminar — a three-day event in Madison where more than 100 students connect, learn, and meet with their district legislators to put their leadership and advocacy skills into action.
At its heart, WSG is about student growth, statewide connection, and collective impact — empowering tomorrow’s leaders to make a difference today.
